Empire Z Tips- How to scavenge (harvest) faster
Wondering how to scavenge faster in Empire Z. There are a few things you can do to scavenge faster when playing Empire Z.
There are 3 factors that influence the speed at which your soldiers scavenge resource tiles
1) Type and size of tile
2) Scavenging bonuses from research
3) Scavenging bonus from Hero
1) Type and size of tile
When you look around your Empire Z city, you will see resource tiles of 5 types : food, wood, oil, steel and silver. Each tile has a number from 1 to 5 indicating the size of it. The bigger the number, the more resources are available and not only that, but the bigger tiles harvest at a faster rate
On the occupy screen (where you select which troops you will send out) look at the top right corner of the screen. There you will see the gather speed of the tile. Food gathers faster and steel slowest. You may want to consider that when setting up your city's industry.
2) Scavenging bonuses from research
The 3 research that impact scavenging in Empire Z are:
- Gathering speed: Impact direclty the gather speed (max bonus +66%)
- Carrying capacity: Bigger loads = less travel time (max bonus +66%)
- Forced march: Faster travel = less travel time (max bonus +66%)
I favor them in order seeing as carrying capacity is very useful when leaving the game for a long while. Forced march is better if you online all the time.
3) Scavening bonus from Hero
If you send your hero with the scavengers they will benefit from his bonuses. More particularly the "hoarder" skill which allows for faster gathering. Hoarder I gives up to +74% gather speed and hoarder II gives up to +111% gather speed. For a total bonus of 185% faster harvesting... not bad.
So there you have it: how to scavenge faster in Empire Z. Remember that this strategy forsakes city production and will net you more resources as long as you can scavenge. However, if you are under attack and cannot send soldiers out, your home city production will not be sufficient.
Empire Z Power leveling: How to reach 100,000 power in 2 days
I see a lot of new players stagnate and take a long time to reach 100k in power. I realize that not everyone wants to power level in Empire Z, but if you want to power level your Empire Z city, follow these tips
1st: The right way to use building queue timers
-If you're actively playing your timers should always be short, unless the is an event.
-During events, your timers should fall 1 min before the end (you can adjust this with speed-ups)
-Overnight and inactive, timers are set to max lenght (except for defenses because that can go for days)
Best Empire Z City layout
In order to get as many awards as possible quickly, ie gain power quickly, you'll build your city in this specific sequence. Remember that if you do this at the beginning you'll have VIP instant build 5 min on day 1 and 7 min on day 2
Front Yard has 24 spots your city layout should be:
Quick build 10 Oil rigs, then quick teardown 5 (5 Oil rigs)
Quick build 10 Mines, then quick teardown 5 (5 Mines)
Quick build 10 Lumber Mills, then quick teardown 6 (4 Lumber mills)
Quick build 10 farms (10 Farms) (Tip: You soldiers dont die when you have 0 food)
Behind the fence layout has 18 spots:
Quick build 10 Hospitals, then quick teardown 6 (4 Hospitals)
Quick build 10 Recruiting stations, then quick teardown 6 (4 Stations)
Quick build 10 Houses (10 Houses)

This setup is for faster recruiting (more houses), if you prefer larger batches then teardown 2 or more houses and replace with stations.
Training Troops in Empire Z
Train 100 of each, then train only pickups until you have 10,000, they are the work horse of Empire Z. Dont' worry about defense at this time, you would get crushed anyways. Focus on building up your research and buildings.
Once you have 10k pickups, start building even numbers of militia and pyros till you have 30k troops.
At tier 2 troops, start dropping tier 1 troops except pickups. Build evenly the 3 types of tier 2. Try not to involve pickups in fights anymore, they should only be scavenging

1)Research Speed (Higher learning)
2)Buidling Speed (Improved construction)
3)Recruit Speed
4)Scavenging Speed (Hoarder)

They will help with build time, resources and protection.
Generally, you want to keep all your queues busy building, training and researching.
Follow this guide for power leveling in Empire Z and you'll easily reach 100k power in 2 days and 1 mil power in 30 days (if you're actively playing often).
Empire Z Power levelling: How to win GAIN POWER event
GAIN POWER event is ON!
You started playing Empire Z and now you want to know how to win at GAIN POWER events and get prizes (free gold, free speedups and free boost are GOOD!)
The most efficient way to win at the GAIN POWER event that I found so far ( and I'm not saying it's THE best, just my best) is as follows:
Every production queue should be working (Troops, defenses and building) and the timers adjusted to end 1 min before the end of the GAIN POWER event. Ideally, you started your timers before the event during the "starts in" period
If you're lucky, your research ends during the event. If not, you can use speedups. If not, whatever.
ProTip: Save your empire missions rewards for the GAIN POWER event. Some empire reward have +10k power. That's tier 1 instantly and 62% of tier 2 event reward. Sweet loot!
ProProTip: If a GAIN POWER event follows a WAR! event and you have soldiers in the hospital, save your healing to very quickly gain power back. Always use short timers with healing because you can ask for help and speed up the process.
There. That's the most efficient way to win at GAIN POWER that I have so far for Empire Z. Soon enough you'll be hitting tier 2 prizes consistently and in no time, tier 3 prizes.
